Fornleifakönnun á Möðruvöllum, 2005 A long trench (15 x 2 m) was excavated in the graveyard in Möðruvellir, Hörgárbyggð, as it was planned to lay heating pipes to the church and therefore a trench had to be excavated. Several remains were found, structural elements, debris and cuts, most likely graves. A midden was detected in the western part at a depth of about 30 cm.
